Introduction of Belgium

There are nearly 200 breweries and over
1,500 brands in Belgium, its history is huge,
it is written in “Commentaries on the Gallic War”
that people were in Belgium already made beers in 58 BC.

Belgium is a very small country but yet centered in Europe,
surrounded by France or Germany which has their own unique culture, therefore,
Belgium has been thriven especially by industrial,
cultural and agricultural growth which leads to develop a large number of Belgian Beer.

Belgian Beer have both “variety” and “originality” which is condensed European history and culture, this is why Belgian Beer is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016,

Belgian beers make a new beer culture developed by having an influence on other beer culture in Japan, USA and so on, which has studied about beers from Belgian ones and made a new movement of craft beer recently.
